George Russell made his F1 Grand Prix debut in 2019 at the Australian Grand Prix. To date he has made 76 starts with 8 podium finishes. He has yet to win an F1 race but he is getting closer and closer to a victory. Russell did win the 2018 Formula 2 Championship which attracted the attention of F1 giants, Williams. They signed him up in 2019 where he stayed until 2022 before moving to Mercedes. He also holds a directorship for the Grand Prix Drivers’ Association.
As with most F1 drivers, the British racer started out in karting. He soon became British champion before moving on to the Mini Max category, becoming British champion once again. Russell moved up the tiers of racing before eventually winning the Formula 2 Championship. He has an exciting career ahead of him in the Formula 1 Championship.
