Sergio Perez currently races for the Red Bull Racing team in Formula One. He has raced for a number of other teams including Sauber, McLaren, Racing Point and Force India. He has started in 229 races throughout his career. His first race on the F1 circuit was in 2011 when he raced in the Australian Grand Prix. He finished in an impressive 7th position although was later disqualified along with his Sauber colleague. The Sauber cars were disqualified on technicalities.
His first victory in F1 was in 2020 at the Sakhir Grand Prix. It took him 190 races to get his first victory but it was well worth the wait! He has since won two more races in 2021 at Azerbaijan and most recently in Monaco, in 2022. He had an amazing season in 2022 coming second on six other occasions. Such is his standing on the F1 circuit, Red Bull have signed him for two more seasons. This shows how well he is respected across the F1 world.
