Coventry City Memorabilia Coventry City are based in the city of Coventry in the West Midlands, although temporarily play in Birmingham.  They currently play in the EFL Championship, following promotion in the 2019-2020 season.  Coventry were originally formed as Singers F.C. in 1883 and adopted their current name in 1898.  They joined the Football League in 1919 and won their first major cup in 1987.  They beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 in the FA Cup Final, also winning the FA Youth Cup in the same season.

Coventry wear Sky Blue colours and are nicknamed the Sky Blues.  They spent 34 consecutive seasons in the English top division until they were relegated in 2001.  They were an inaugural member of the Premier League when it formed in 1992.  Coventry spent eleven seasons in the Championship and were relegated to the second-tier of English football in 2012.  They were relegated once again to the fourth-tier in 2017, although they gained promotion back to the League One at the first attempt.  They won their first league championship in 2020, gaining promotion back to the EFL Championship.
