Fernando Torres was a professional Spanish footballer who played for a number of top league clubs across Europe. Torres was lightning quick, a prolific finisher and had the ability to consistently get into goal-scoring positions. His move to Premier League rivals, Chelsea, soon put pay to that. Chelsea spent a British transfer record fee of £50m to entice the Spaniard to Stamford Bridge. Torres won the UEFA Champions League in 2012 and UEFA Europa League in 2013.
Torres was eventually loaned out to AC Milan and then finished his career at boyhood club, Atletico Madrid. He was capped 110 times for Spain, scoring 38 times. Torres won 3 major titles with the Spanish national team. One World Cup in 2010 and two EURO tournaments in 2008 and 2012.
