Jan Oblak is considered by many to be the best goalkeeper in the world. He currently plays for Atletico Madrid, the current champions of Spanish football. He has won a number of honours at the Spanish club including La Liga, UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Super Cup. In addition to this, he has won a number of personal awards including La Liga Zamora Trophy in five seasons. This is awarded to the goalkeeper with the lowest goals to games ratio. He also won a League Title in Portugal for Benfica.
The goalkeeping legend also captains his country, Slovenia. He made his international debut in 2012 and has been voted Slovenian footballer of the year six times. The Slovenian has been nominated for two Ballon d’Or awards in 2017 and 2018, although has yet to win one. He will be hoping for third time lucky soon.
