Marco Reus is captain for the German national team and Borussia Dortmund. He plays as striker and is known for his speed, technical prowess and ability to score goals. Reus has also won many accolades for his hard-working nature, accuracy from set-pieces and capability to provide assists to his teammates. His versatility stands out giving him the freedom to play in either a central attacking midfielder role, a number 10, a winger, out an out striker or to cut inside deep.

He started his career in the youth team in Dortmund, before moving to Rot Weiss Ahlen II. He eventually returned to his home town club Dortmund in 2019, where he remains to this day. Reus has scored over 100 goals for Dortmund and has earned the honour of Player of the Season in the Bundesliga three times. During his time with the club, he has won the DFB-Pokal in 2017 and 2021 and the DFL-Supercup in 2013, 2014 and 2019. He was also on the losing side in the Champions League Final in 2012-2013 against Bayern Munich.

Reus has won 44 caps for his country, limited by his persistent injuries. His injuries meant he missed the 2014 FIFA World Cup which Germany eventually won in Brazil. Reus has scored 13 goals for his country.
