Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the current captain for Arsenal and also the Gabon national football team. Aubameyang plays as a striker and has phenomenal pace along with expert finishing. He has scored goals wherever he has gone. He is also multi-lingual and speaks a number of languages including French, Italian, German, Spanish and English. He has played football for clubs in most of these countries which has helped learn the languages.

Aubameyang played youth football in France, joining AC Milan in 2008 as his first senior contract. Although he didn’t make an appearance for Milan he was loaned out to a number of French clubs between 2008-2011. He would eventually sign for Saint-Etienne in 2011 after a successful loan spell there. His solid performance earned him a move to German giants, Borussia Dortmund in 2013. Aubameyang had a successful period at Dortmund and is the club’s 6th top goalscorer. During the 2016-2017 season he was the Bundesliga’s top goalscorer which helped Dortmund win the DFB-Pokal that season.

Aubameyang signed for Arsenal in 2018 in a transfer worth £56 million. In 2018-2019 he was the top scorer in the Premier League and also won the FA Cup with Arsenal. He has also won the FA Community Shield with Arsenal and has been runner up in the UEFA Europa League and the EFL Cup. He is Gabon’s record goalscorer after making his debut in 2009 at the age of 19. Aubameyang has played 68 times for his country, scoring 27 goals. He was named African Footballer of the Year in 2016
