Lincoln City currently play in the English Football League One. They are based in Lincolnshire in the North of England. City play their home games at Sincil Bank which holds just over 10,000 people. The club were founded in the nineteenth century, in 1884. Their very first home games in 1884 were played at John O’Gaunts before moving to Sincil Bank a year later.
Lincoln currently have three kits. Their home kit features a red and white striped shirt and black socks. Their alternative kits are all blue and all yellow. A current Lincoln City signed shirt can therefore come in three colours, although the home red and white kit is the most popular. The kit is supplied by Errea and Branston is the current sponsor.
Although the club hasn’t won any major trophies, they have been Champions a number of times in the leagues they have played in. This includes the 3rd, 4th, and 5th tiers leagues of English football. They have also won the Football League Trophy in 2018. City reached the FA Cup Quarter-Finals in 2017 and the FA Trophy Semi-Final the same year.
