Raith Rovers FC are a Scottish professional football club currently playing in the Scottish Championship. They are based in Fife, in the small town of Kirkcaldy. They play their home games at Stark’s Park which holds approximately 9,000 people. This has been their home ground since 1891. Raith play their home games in a navy shirt with red stripes and white shorts. For away games, their strip consists of a pink top and navy shorts. A signed Raith Rover shirt, home or away, is a must if you are a fan of the Rovers.
The club was formed almost 140 years ago in 1883. During this time Raith Rovers have won four major trophies in Scottish football. In 1994 they won the Scottish League Cup at Ibrox in Glasgow. They beat Celtic in a dramatic penalty shootout after drawing 2-2 in the game. Raith have also won the Scottish Challenge Cup three times and are the current holders. Famous Fans of the club include Gordon Brown and the legendary author Ian Rankin.
