Franz Beckenbauer was also known as Der Kaiser in German. This translates to The Emporer. He had significant dominance on the football field and was a born leader. For all the teams he played for, he exerted a huge influence on the team. Der Kaiser was regarded by many as one of the best players to have graced a football pitch. He made over 100 caps for West Germany, scoring 14 goals for his country. The German legend won the World Cup twice. Once as a player in 1974 and then again as manager at Italia 90.
