Jordan Spieth is a professional American golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. He has won three majors including the 2015 Masters, 2015 U.S. Open and the 2017 Open. He has also won FedEx Cup in 2015. Speith was the second youngest golfer to win the Masters.
Spieth was born to Shawn and Christine Spieth and has two younger siblings. He turned professional at the age of 19 in 2012. His first major sponsor was Under Armour who he partnered with in early 2013. Spieth won his first PGA win in 2013, making his debut in the Ryder Cup and Masters in the following year. 2015 proved to be his most successful year to date when he became World No 1. He won the Valspar Championship in March moving him to 6th in the World Ranking. The runner up finish at the Valero Texas Open moved home to 4th.
Winning the 2015 Masters took him to World No2 in the Official World Gold Ranking. In June Spieth won the U.S. Open by one stroke. He came 4th in the Open Championship, soon after becoming World No 1. He won all the major awards for the season including PGA Player of the Year, PGA Tour Player of the Year, Vardon Trophy, Arnold Palmer Award and the Byron Nelson Award.
