Phil Mickelson is a professional golfer who has spent over 25 years in the Official World Golf Rankings Top 50. His highest ranking is World No2 and he has been inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame. The Golf legend has won an astonishing 44 titles on the PGA Tour, five of which were major championships. These include a PGA Championship in 2005, an Open Championship in 2013 and three Masters in 2004, 2006 and 2010. The only major to allude him is the U.S. Open, where he has been runner up on six separate occasions.

Mickelson’s style of play is described as aggressive and has a tendency to hit many shots which are considered risky. Although his drive is powerful it is also described as inaccurate. He is famed for his excellent short game. He is ranked second in the PGA Tour’s earning list. Most of his money however comes from endorsements. In 2011 he earned $62 million, of which $53 million came from endorsements. Sponsors include KPMG, Rolex, Callaway, Barclays, Titleist, and Ford.

The golfing superstar is one of 12 golfers to win three of the four majors. His ambition before he retires will be to secure a U.S. Open victory to claim a full sweep.
