Rickie Fowler was born on December 13th 1988 in California. He was raised in Murrieta and played for the majority of his early years on a driving range. He is self-taught and rarely took any golfing lessons. Fowler was the number one amateur golfer between 2007 and 2008 for 36 weeks. His career-high professional ranking is fourth in the Official World Golf Ranking. This was following his win at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship.

Fowler turned pro in 2009 after a very successful amateur career. He currently lives in Florida after a stint in Las Vegas. Fowler has Japanese origin from his materal grandfather. He always wear orange on the last day of a golf tournament to honour Oklahoma State University. Fowler is an official ambassador for PGA Junior League Golf. He has filmed commercials for Crowne Plaza Hotels alongside Ian Finch. The campaign was titled, “It’s Good to be Rickie.”

He has 5 Amateur wins to his name and 9 professional wins. Five of the professional wins were on the PGA Tour, one the OneAsai Tour, two on the European Tour and one ‘Other’ win. He has come runners up in the Masters Tournament in 2018, his best position to date at a Major.
