Wayne Gardener has been both a pro touring car driver and Grand Prix motorcycle racer. The Australian superstar was born in Wollongong, in the state of New South Wales in Australia. In 1991 he was inducted into the Australian Sport Hall of Fame. He has also been honoured as a MotoGP legend. Added to this he was made an AM, which is a Member of the Order of Australia. This was in 1988. As you can imagine from all of these personal honours, he is considered a legend in his home country and afar. This is why the Wayne Gardener signature is in high demand!
His nickname is The Wollongong Whiz due to his success during his career. He raced in 102 Grand Prix races, winning 18 of these. The MotoGP legend also finished on the podium in half of these races. In addition to MotoGP, he also raced in the All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship between 1996 and 2002.
