London Irish RFC currently play in the top tier of English rugby. They play in the Premiership which features the best rugby union sides in England. The rugby giants play their home games in Brentford, at Gtech Community Stadium. They had previously played at the Madejski Stadium which they shared with Reading FC until 2021. London Irish are one of the biggest sides in English rugby union. This is why signed London Irish shirts and other memorabilia are in such high demand in the rugby world. They have won a number of major honours including the Powergen Cup in 2002. Irish also came close to winning the English Premiership Final in 2009, losing in the final.
The club were founded in 1898 following the merger of London Scottish and London Welsh. Nowadays they have an Irish Wolfhound as a mascot called Digger. He in fact won the best mascot award in 2003 and ran the London Marathon in 2006. The mascot regularly wears the green home kit which is supplied by BLK and sponsored by Powerday.
