Worcester Warriors Rugby Football Club play in the English Premiership. The Rugby Union team play their home matches at Sixways Stadium in their traditional colours of blue and gold. The stadium has a capacity of 11,499. The club were formed 150 years ago in 1871 by the Reverand Francis John Ede. Worcester’s main rivals are Gloucester and Rotherham.

Worcester Warriors won 26 games out of 26 in the season 2003-2004 to gain promotion to the Premiership. It was the first time a club had achieved a perfect record win in the National Division One. Although they were favourites to be relegated back to Division One the following season, they finished 9th in the Premiership. The following season they reached a playoff match for the Heineken Cup against Saracens.

In 2005-2006 Worcester got to the quarter-finals of the European Challenge Cup when they came top of their pool. They were eventually knocked out of the competition in the semi-finals by Gloucester. Northampton finished eighth in the league that season. The Warriors were relegated from the Premiership in 2010 but quickly bounced back the following season. They won 30 out of 31 games to regain promotion to the Premiership.
