    Milos Raonic is a Canadian professional tennis player.  He was born in 1990 in Yugoslavia, now Montenegro, and is of Serb descent.  Following the unrest in the Balkans his family moved to Toronto, Canada in 1994.  He started playing tennis at the age of six during a tennis camp in Brampton.  The tennis coaches there recognised his potential.  He worked with Casey Curtis twice a day for a number of years.

    Raonic won his first junior titles in both singles and doubles in 2006.  He turned professional in September 2008.  His highest world ranking for the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) was No 3 in 2016.  This makes him one of the most successful Canadian tennis players of all time.  Raonic has one of the best serves in the game, and is one of the best servers in the Open era.  He has won an impressive 91% of his service games.  Milos is renowned for playing an all-court style and his preference is to play on hard courts.

    He has a number of career highlights, most notably his first Grand Slam final at Wimbledon in 2016.  Raonic has also reached 2 Grand Slam semi-finals at Wimbledon in 2014 and the Australian Open in 2016.  He is the first player to be born in the 1990’s to win an ATP World Tour Title, to qualify forthe ATP World Tour and also to be ranked in the top 10.  Raonic has won an impressive eight ATP World Titles so far in his career.

    Outside of tennis, he has many interests.  His favourite football team is FC Barcelona.  He is also loyal to his Toronto roots, supporting the Toronto Raptors, Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays.
