Peyton Manning is a former American footballer. Manning is considered to be one of the best-ever quarterbacks of all time. He played 18 seasons in the National Football League, also known as the NFL. Of these 18 seasons, he played 14 of them with Indianapolis Colts. The other 4 seasons were spent with the Denver Broncos. Manning is one of the most well-known figures in the NFL. His nickname was the Sheriff such was his ability to control a game.

Manning was the Colts starting quarterback for 12 years, between 1998 and 2010. He was selected first overall in the 1998 NFL Draft. Manning was such an influential figure during his time with the Colts. He helped transform the team which was struggling when he first joined them. During his time with the Colts, he helped the team to two Super Bowl appearances. One of which the Colts won in Super Bowl XLI.

Manning joined the Denver Broncos in 2012. During his three-year spell with the Broncos, they reached two Super Bowls. Manning bowed out of the NFL winning Super Bowl 50.
